Afternoon ArtSchool (T/Th) & MusicSchool (Wed/Fri): is offered from 1:00-3:00 p.m. for those children who no longer require a formal rest period or nap. The art and music teachers will begin afternoon ArtSchool or MusicSchool with a story that relates to that day's art project or music exploration, wherein the story in itself provides space for a bit of peaceful quiet time and a brief rest period.

ArtSchool is taught by teachers who have earned their Master's Degree in Fine Arts (Carrie Gamble & Jenny Gannon). Art projects and mediums will vary; painting, drawing, mask-making, jewelry-making, etc. The focus and intenstion is on the artistic and creative process and not on the production of a deliverable to take home. The creative process is easily cultivated in children during their formative years and therefore we feel strongly that young children should have many experiences with color, textures and exploring a variety of mediums.

MusicSchool is taught by teachers who have earned their Master's Degree in Music (Ali LaVanway). Learning to love music is not something that needs to be taught but rather retained. All children have a love for music. Ali brings such fun and levity to her methods of making music that the children can't help but fall in love with making music on their own. Ali explores all types of different songs and games in her journey of exploring the gifts music has to bring using various methods, including the Orff Schulwerk method.
